First impressions are valuable, and with this poker room (newly opened as of this post), I think we can expect Vegas style decorations in the future perhaps, but as of now the room is very bland.
The walls and ceilings are white, and the bathrooms are nicer than the Bellagio's poker room bathroom, so that's something.
The staff is always friendly and courteous, and know what they are doing for the most part.
The chips are a typical weighted plastic, and the print on the chips, well they are actually just stickers. I think this was a poor choice to have stickers on their chips, it obviously came down to a choice between short term money or making a quality poker chip that is fraud proof (long term money).
The building also has Taps attached to it (a brew house chain) with a full bar, occasionally live music and probably 20 or so beers on tap. Their TVs are nice and plentiful. I have tried the food and it is decent. Initially food was not allowed in the poker room, I think it is now, hopefully they get menu service at the tables in the future.
The tournaments typically have a decent turnout, thursdays and Tuesdays are decent deal days, there was even talk of making one of those days rake free, we'll see if that happens. Fridays and Saturdays with deepstacks are the best structures as is the norm.
Overall a decent poker room with tons of potential to be a truly great room if they decide to spruce it up a bit with decorations, and possibly bad beat jackpots, one can only hope.
