If you like constant Casino noise, so loud you cannot talk to people at your own table and if you are a fan of playing in a smoky Poker room, you will love the new poker room at the Horseshoe Casino in So Indiana. In all fairness, it’s a non smoking poker room. That’s like saying this side of my living room is non smoking but you can smoke on the other side of my living room. Get it? There are imaginary walls that supposedly keep the room smoke free. The poker room isn’t a room at all. There is no wall to keep the smoke and the noise away from the players. Epic fail. I smelled like a cigarette filter when I got home. The boat had 30 tables, the new poker room has 16 tables that seat 9 players each. So it’s about half the size. Tournaments will most likely cancel more often because there are not enough tables. Call first to make sure the tournament you want to play hasn’t been cancelled. It’s was cancelled last night. In fairness, last night December 12, 2019 was opening night. Most of us that have played poker at the boat we’re excited about the new poker room. Sadly, it was worse. I did like the Installed cup holders and the USB port for each player. The FREE coffee and soda machines are very close. The bathroom is a 200 foot walk through clouds of Marlboro. I cannot see myself ever going back because playing in smoke and head banging noise just isn’t fun. But for some folks, this may not be an issue. Oh Well, enjoy.
