I visited Commerce during the LA Poker Open on 11/11/2015. It was very hectic and unorganized. I ended up playing a cash game, but it was very confusing about which area was for the high limit games vs. the normal limit games. The high limit games where all written on a flip board.
The entire poker area, although very large, was divided off into different types of games, so the number of tables was not really indicative of how easy it would be to get a table.
Service was spotty with the wait staff, and the poker area and casino area was very dingy. It could definitely use a makeover.
I do not expect to return to the Commerce Casino, but would be willing to try the Bicycle the next time I visit Los Angeles.
What I liked was the openness of the entire area and the poker area was in an area that was a few steps down from the main level, so you could feel like you were a part of the action.
What I didn't like was the person taking your name for the waiting lists. He was paying more attention to the staff and other players. When I finally got on the list, it was difficult to hear my name called.
I finally found a cash game I could play in, and played for 3-4 hours. I expected a lot more from a big name casino.
