Great knowledgeable dealers and floor/staff. Better than any other SoCal Cardroom. Great location. Good action in 2/5 and 5/5 games. Players are generally friendly as well.
Now for the negatives:
Food quality has gone down over the last two years. Management has increased food prices and removed many of the items off the menu.
Casino management has increased rake from $6 to $7 ($5 + $1 Jackpot + $1 River). A full time player who wins 3 pots an hour average now makes $6,000/year less because of this.
Casino management now caps all holiday tournaments (Labor, Memorial, 4th, etc.) at 300 players. Almost like sending away business at a store.
Casino management has lowered rake back. Originally was 100 hours = $500. Now best is 20 hours = $60. That is $200/month less for full time players.
Casino management has turned progressive bad beat jackpot into a fixed $20,000 jackpot. Casino management has removed hourly cash drawings for loyal players who earn tickets based on time spent at the casino and replaced the drawings with terrible promotions.
With increased food prices and rake, decreased promotions and rake back, where is the extra money going?
I only give this place a 4-star instead of 3-star because I do enjoy the poker games, and believe the staff does an incredible job here.
Owners and management, shame on you.
