It is VERY UNFORTUNATE River Cree is only Casino that offers LIMIT cash poker game. I do not play on a regular basis but when I do play I have to set my alarm for 4am on Fridays. I start my 1.5 hour drive and put my name on the list to play 4/8 D/C. I then drive to secure the 1 in 9 spots on the table as the game usually starts. It has been unpredictable in the past however this morning was VERY DISAPPOINTING to say the least. The 1/2 game JUST broke before 6am. There was a list of 12 4/8 players that were about to show up as they have EVERY FRIDAY for the last how many years since River Cree are the only game in Town. A couple 4/8 players were already in room and a full table would have been able to open in minutes. HOWEVER the House Person(Manager of Poker) working nites HURRIES SHUTS IT ALL DOWN so there is no game until 1100 hours. I have so much to say about this but will keep my mouth shut as I want to continue playing poker in Edmonton. Poker makes money for the Casino, the Casino lost lots of money closing this game down from 6:30 to 1100 when it will now open. Not to forget to mention the money put in machines etc. when we take a break. If you are open 24 hours on weekend STAY OPEN....,ok if there is a lull and no game to open.....close and go home but you know you have 12 people driving in to play as they do have a time limit and they have CONSISTENTLY driven in the past 5 or whatever years of Friday's....,by the time you closed 1/2 game and opened 4/8 game there would have been no lull this morning. So now we all sit for 4.5 hours til 1100 open. DISGUSTINGLY DISGUSTED!!!! By the way if I don't leave at 0430 and arrive 0630ish......I wait to play all day as they usually don't open up another poker room!!!
