Decent Gamble, Poor Service

Room was good. Large. Had played a few low stakes limit tournaments there previously. Seperate, but not isolated from rest of casino. Bright, newer.

Some experienced older ocals as would be expected at the Orleans. Unknown factor as visitor worked to my advantage . Was able to come out to the good in 3 of 4 sessions. Some younger local (relocated?)guys (25 and under) fancying themselves as pros float about. I would imagine they are the equivalent of actors in LA.(waiting tables or the like while they try to make it as pro poker players). These guys were easy to bluff and easy to read.

Solid dealers. Friendly enough, but kept to the task at hand.

A couple of hot waitresses during the time I spent there. Average on service, time and friendliness.

Here is where I take issue with not only the Orleans poker room but the Orleans casino in general. While the room, waitresses and dealers were decent, I unfortunately was the victim of a crime. I was actually robbed of my wallet while at the table and lost a decent amount of cash. Now, the theft was due in part to my carelessness but also to poor security. My wallet was apparently hanging out of my back pocket and an individual sat down next to me for a very brief period of time (only a few hands) and left. Shortly thereafter I discovered my wallet was missing and the "player" that briefly sat down next to me was nowhere in sight. The response of security and management slow and poor. Upon discovery of the problem, I immediately reported the situation to management and security. After I insisted they check out there security cameras, they informed me that, much to my surprise, their cameras didn't cover the area I was sitting in and there wasn't much they could do. Sounds like BS to me. They didn't seemed concerned I was robbed and didn't even offer any assistance. Luckily, I have relatives in the LVMPD that helped out after a couple of calls. Needless to say, watch your backs at this poker room. Obviously security is not a high priority here and customer satisfaction is even lower on the list.
