entertaining and fun room ... pretty good players at low levels

The room was average. It was light and bright , but for some reason had a cheap "feel" to it.

I have been playing poker now for 9 months. I am pretty good at it and can hold my own. I go to the local gambling establishment in the area 1-2 times a month and read up on poker often. At the low level of 2-4 the competition was pretty tough. Most of the people at the table knew what they were doing and were not some drunk young tourist experimenting with playing live poker. It was challenging and I had to stay on top of my game.
I didn't lose too much , but didn't come out ahead.

I loved the dealers at the Orleans. THEY were very talkative and FUN. I especially liked John from St. Louis and Lon the "crazyman". Even though I wasn't winning much, they made it very fun to stay and play at the table.

Well a few of the gals were GREAT. They came quick and efficiently and they were attractive ( if I were a guy this definitely would be a great place to gawk at the cocktail waitresses with their thong like outfits ). There was one gal who had a very thick european accent who I thought must of been
sexist. I had asked her for a bottle of water twice and on the third time she finally gave me the water. I was tipping appropriately but I think she liked the "attention" that some of the men at the tables were giving her instead of me not giving her any attention because I was a chick.

There was a gentleman who looked like the host in "What not to Wear" that knocked some money off my bill ( poker rate ) because I was staying there and was playing alot of hours. I was a little aggravated because when I got to the room there were 13 names on the list for 2-4 and they weren't opening up another table even though there were 2 dealers sitting around doing nothing. I expressed my concern with this and even though they didn't open another table , they kept the line moving quickly so that I really didn't have to wait too long to get in on a table.

I think they said $1.50 an hour
and the poker rate is after 4 hours where most places are more than 4 hours. I heard they had doughnuts in the morning too
and that would have been cool if I was playing in the morning.
