A Real Bellagio Rating

This is a great room to play in just becuase it's "the Bellagio." It's great to sit back and watch players like Ivey, Chan, Doyle, Farha, Harman, Greenstein, Deeb (just to name a few that I've seen) playing in the room next to you. That makes the atmosphere of the place better than anywhere else. But, the tables are too close together and difficult to walk through. Once you get a seat, its a great experience.

Some people give too much credit to the play there. You will have 1 or 2 good players who truly know what they're doing. The first time I played there I thought the whole table was full of pros. Turned out they all sucked and I took the table for $200+. I play mostly 4/8 with a couple of sessions of 8/16. The 8/16 was a tougher game, but it didn't lack bad players. You will occasionally sit at a table full of tight/passive players, with 3 or so to a flop. When you see you're at a table like that, just request a seat change and when your turn comes up, move. Most tables are 5 to 6 to a flop. Ive had a lot of drunks come in around midnight who will dump their cash most of the night. It's great. Just don't be afraid to ask for a seat change, I've made the mistake at sitting at a table for a few hours and get no where because of a tight table.

Dealers are hands down the best in Vegas. They are the fastest you'll see and have very few mis-deals or any other problems. Most are friendly but if they don't talk, at least they're dealing quickly.

Ehhhh, cocktails are ok. Ive been a few times where it takes a while to have someone come around, and other times they are really on top of things. It just depends.

I've never had a problem with any of them, but they do act full of themselves. You'll often stand for a while at the front desk waiting for someone to ask you what game you want to sit at, and they are never friendly when they're busy. When its late at night or morning, they tend to be a little friendlier, but if you go during peak hours, dont expect a lot of attention.

They have a certain number of comps they give out per day, and usually the floor manager is in charge of those. I've gotten comps many times, but you have to ask late at night, say 2 a.m. or later, or early in the morning. Theyre good for $15 which can be used at the snack bar, or their cafe. Your limits do not matter unlike some have said, you just have to catch the floor manager at the right time.
