Fading glory

Considering the Bellagio is supposed to be the center of the poker universe, I am somewhat surprised that the room has allowed itself to be eclipsed by the Venetian and Wynn. It is certainly a very nice room, with a large number of tables amid a fancy resort. But the room is crowded, list management is done on paper, customer service is hit or miss, and games under $5/$10 NLHE are treated as more a nuisance than the lifeblood of the the room. For bigger game players, Bellagio may be the creme de la creme (though the Wynn and more recently the Venetian may disagree), but for average players, better big room options merit consideration.

The $1/$2 NLHE game is pretty typical by Vegas standards, meaning fairly soft and beatable, though not as juicy as some of the smaller rooms. The $2/$5 NLHE game plays tougher now that $1/$2 is offered, and has pretty aggressive play. Smart TAG play should still be successful.

Most of the dealers are excellent, but a few with bad attitudes about small games bring the average down. Few dealer errors occur, but dealers with bad attitudes are too frequent for a premier room.

Service can be slow in busy times, but overall service is regular and fairly quick. Most call liquors drinks are available. Still, not up to the high standards of the Venetian or Wynn.

Management can be abrubt with small game players. List management seems to be on manager whim (or related to manager tips). Decisions are solid, however.

Non-existant.
