Used to be a great place to play for cash games pre covid. After covid it's like the hotel manager or poker manager gave up on it. Don't get me wrong, you'll see plenty of games on the weekend. However, many of the games are nit fests. Besides the play, the dealers can range from very competent to weirdly over concerned about stuff going on with players that don't directly impact the play. Some dealers are easily distracted and have no sense of command at the table. The floor is useless except for directing you to a table for play. There are barely any chip racks to carry your chips when racking up. I've had the floor tell me to go search around the room for some. Pretty outrageous for such a historically prestigious poker room. Also, the cage is only opened on the weekends, and usually there is only one person working so the line is long. But it beats walking to the main cage in the casino, where the line and wait is even longer. Mixed that with all the second hand smoke you inhalation, and it's not only aggravating and frustrating, it's down right absurd and disrespectful to the poker player experience. I'll only go there for a 'turn and burn',not a weekend stay. It's a shame how fast this place has fallen. Hopefully, one day, it regains its credibility and prestige.
