This may be the only poker room in the country that does not allow backpacks. I've played there several times after being told that there is a Poker Room exception to the casino's policy. (And being allowed onto the boat with my backpack). Today I was told by the guy checking IDs that the exception is during "major tournaments only". He said there isn't a place to leave my backpack either while I gamble but that I "could see if they'll watch it at valet". I got back on the shuttle bus and went home. Will be playing at the Horseshoe from now on.

cas1201: This is Nick, the Poker Manager. I am really sorry to hear that you were given a hard time about bringing your backpack on property. There IS a poker exception to the "no bag" policy but up until this week, it was never really pushed out to the front line staff. I have worked with the Security Manager to reiterate to our Officers that yes, bags are allowed at all times with a cursory search if you are a poker player.
