old school poker room

This is my favorite room in Las Vegas. Quiet but not hushed or formal. Tucked away from the casino crowds and bustle, but just a few steps away if you need a breather. It's even close to the back door entrance to the casino so you can get in (or out) without walking through a hundred yards of smokers and drunks.

A mix of very experienced regulars and young adults on vacation. Generally playing even more loosely than was warranted on the limit tables and very tight on the NL tables.

Friendly, without cracking funny or otherwise inserting themselves into the flow of the game. Like a good baseball ump, the best ones are those you never notice.

Between 4-6pm and 10p-2am, waitress came by about every 30 minutes. Selection seemed good and she always seemed to have an extra cold water available.

Only one complaint: a male/female couple were allowed to play together at the NL table and again at a tournament sit-n-go. They positioned themselves several seats away from each other and were clearly cooperating. No concern from the management that this was abit unfair to the other players. At least pretend to care.

None that I was aware of.
