I stayed at planet hollywood from febraury 7th till 10th. There was no poker room during my stay just a roped off area across from a very annoying bar. And if you play on monday night expect to see a epsiode of cops. I saw people get arrested and even got to see real life pimps and prostitutes.
I played in the 2am tournament and competition was soft but full of donkeys. Unforunately, I became a victim of a suck out queen who caught runner runner to take down my aces. Also, beware of planet hollywood dealers taking part in the tournaments. I really hate this practice there are too many poker rooms on the strip that they should enforce a rule that you can not play at your own casino. My favorite competition would have to be the gang members at my table. Nothing better seeing a tear drop tattooed on my opponet face while he flashed gang signs to his fellow brothers walking by.
I have read the reviews on here which seemed to be positive about the compentence of the dealers. I found this to be not true of at least the tournament dealers. The dealers did not pay attention to the blind changes and seem to talk to other dealers sitting around rather than actually dealing. This caused us to lose time during the earlier blinds. My biggest problem was that a certain female dealer actually looked at one of the players card before she dealt it to him. This was bad enough but in addition the card she looked at went to a dealer who was off duty playing in the tournament.
Cocktails? Well she came around once in two hours but at least you dont have to collect drink tickets like at Ceasers.
The manager was too busy playing on his iphone.
There are no comps to speak of.
