New Years: Had a pleasant experience

The room was not very busy, especially not in the mornings and afternoons. I didn't play at night. The tables were clean, and the chair very comfortable. Loved the wheels and the fact that you can raise and lower them. By early evening, the smoke from the rest of the casino would slowly waft in, as the area is not fully enclosed. I didn't mind it too much, but my girlfriend was getting irritated by it.

The players were generally pretty easy to beat. On only 1 session did I encounter a table where at least 3 out of 8 people that I felt played better poker than me. But then at the same time, at my girlfriend's table, I think she was one of the best at hers.

The dealers were fast and friendly. Props to Richard and Junior were a lots of help. All the dealers made very little mistakes and kept the tables running smoothly.

Their attire was attractive, but the women weren't my taste. The poker room wasn't that busy, which accounted for their infrequent visits. The drinks usually came in a timely fashion.

Management was good. The room never got really busy to stress out the management staff enough for me to see how they react to adversity though. Got comped (front of line VIP to spice market and $10 off) even though we didn't really meet the requirements. This was on NYE, so we really appreciated it. Skipped a huge line up.

Maybe I didn't understand the comp system very well. Scott told me to come back to him after playing 10 hours (of non tourny time). So the next day, when we approached the other floor manager (Scott was gone), he told us that the time does not "carry over". I'm not sure what that meant, but it would seem to me that he was indicating that our hours didn't count because it wasn't all done in 1 day. 10 hours is crazy. I've done it before, but I'm visiting LV on vacation. I have other things to do. There's a high hand jackpot (quads or better, both hole cards in play, must show). I never won. I witnessed someone getting it. Too bad I had a boat. He was short stacked so I didn't lose much.
