Played Tourney's and Cash Games Here

No auto shufflers but the I liked the tables, even with the wooden race track. I also liked the look of the chips, the carpet, and the way the tables were spaced.

I played at all hours of the day here, both tourneys and cash, and there were some good players in both. That said, it's hard to say how tough it was compared to the V since it's all relative. I actually found the V to be much fishier. A lot of younger players at PH and it can get somewhat loose late at night. I had one winning session (+233) one morning but two losers during marathon sessions.
The tournaments usually had 4 tables and had only a few grinders, but I never got farther than 15th place. Like any tourney, even with 4k to start and no antes, those blinds go up quick.

Almost every dealer was nice and accomodating and gracious when tipped. They were quick to call the floor when I was considering a preflop all in with A-T suited and flashed my cards briefly to the bettor hoping to gain some info. Whoops. I did't realize that would kill my hand. I was going to fold anyway. He showed A-K after that.
One dealer kept reminding me to put a chip on cards when I was in seat 10 in a tournament. Probably a good idea and I didn't mind at that point because I was literally running over the starting table and had $12k by the end of the 2nd level.

Sparse in the wee morning hours. I had to pay 3 bucks for an 8 oz bottle of PH water at the nearby bar. AND I got carded for it.
Otherwise pretty good. I had margerita's, long islands, and Sobe's. No red bulls to be had here.

Seemed to run a good tournament and were friendly when I approached them. Even ran me my chips once. Asked if I wanted a security escort when I cashed out with $40 after losing $160. I told them to notify the IRS so it was all in good fun.

I was told that they don't comp in the poker room, even after I signed up for a card..? I should have pressed for more info but was slightly suprised by this so they get a bad.

"Room"

The PH Poker room should be renamed a Poker Area instead. Poker at PH can be found in a roped off area of the casino... Read More
