I have been playing at this location since it opened. WITHOUT A DOUBT this is one of the most professional, well run card rooms ( I can only say this about Tournaments since I don't play cash). I have been playing for about 40 years and have played all around they United States and Canada, including a year on the WSOP circuit.
First off, I think Richard's ( opps - WIDGET's) comments come out of frustration and i can understand why. When someone acts out of turn, they are held accountable and the penalties are based on the severity and number of times it happens. TCH Houston enforces these rules BETTER and more CONSISTANTLY than almost any other room.
Second - I personally know the person he is speaking about, and his comments are RUDE (you shouldn't call someone a troll) and UNJUST. She is does a great job and is very knowledgeable. I recently obtained my TDA certification and have had numerous rules discussions with her where she has helped explain why. PS - Thank You CHRISTINA.
Third - ALL the tournament TD's - Stephen Gamble - the main TD, Darrel, Justin, Chris, Christina and the GM Alan, are TOP QUALITY PROFESSIONALS, the Dealers and entire Staff are friendly and try to provide excellent customer service, and the room is spotless, bright, bathrooms clean and well maintained.
Finally - I would say that 99.9% of the people that play at this location, are really nice people and many of them have become friends.
I really enjoy playing there even if I get dealt bad beats more than I think I should hahahahah
