The room is average for the Imperial Palace, but since it's the IP, it's below average compared to the bigger rooms. Just think of it as Ceasars/MGM/etc = well, Ceasers/MGM/etc and the IP = Motel 6 and you get the idea.
I'm strictly a LL fixed limit player. I'm just starting to get my feet wet with playing NL online & didn't want to risk my small bankroll on trying out NL live for the first time. I play 3/6 with the rare 4/8 play. So I just played 2/4 at the IP.
The quality of players is what you'd expect at this level. First timers, people just wanting to have some fun, etc. So it's not uncommon to see over half the table calling 2 or 3 (or even capped) bets preflop.
The dealers were all professional & friendly. They kept the game going at a good pace & didn't make any mistakes.
The waitress for the poker room was very good. It seemed like whenever my drink was empty & I was ready for another she came around asking if anybody needed another.
I didn't have any interaction with the management so I can't really say if they are good or bad. But since the room seems to run smoothly they must be doing something right.
I guess you get $2/hour if you're a players club member, but since we had to leave this morning I'm not sure if it was posted to our accounts. The high hand jackpots weren't the best I'd seen, but they weren't the worst (FWIW, Luxor was the worst.)
