Here's what's happening at all the New Jersey online poker sites for the week ending 02/02!
According to PokerScout, WSOP-com had a 24 hour peak of 394 and a 7-day average of 190. These numbers are down from last week's 456 and 200, possibly because the online majors are over. However, WSOP satellites are starting this week, which is great news for player population.
The $25,000 Weekly Sunday Guarantee occurred on Feb. 02 with 97 players, a massive drop from the previous week's 147 players, due to the WSOP online championship series being over. The buy-in was $200 +$15, so the overlay was $600. It was won by Deuxexmachin, who got a big $7,125. All the winners over the previous several weeks failed to cash.
The $10,000 Weekly Sunday Guarantee, with a buy-in of $100 + $9, got 90 players, another drop from 127 players the week before. This meant the overlay was $1,000. This time, the winner was FinessingYou. The previous two winners did not cash.
Look for satellites at WSOP-com this week in both New Jersey and Nevada for this summer's live World Series of Poker events, happening in just a few months.
On PokerScout, the PartyPoker numbers look like this: a 24 hour peak of 483 and a seven-day average of 240. These are down from last week's 604 seven-day average of 260. Party / Borgata and its competitor, WSOP, are neck and neck in population.
See below for the major tournament results, as PartyPoker and BorgataPoker share players and all major tournaments. There are separate promotions on each site, so it's still worth playing on both sites, though not at the same time, as the software prevents it.
The BorgataPoker numbers on PokerScout are the same as the numbers on PartyPoker, as they share players: a 24 hour peak of 483 players and a seven-day average of 240.
The Sunday $50K guaranteed on BorgataPoker, on Feb. 02, had 205 players, a dip from 257 players the week before. The buy-in was $185 + $15, so the overlay was a significant $12,075. This event was won by F-350.DRIVER, who got $8,800.
The Saturday $10K guaranteed, the day before, got 104 players, another drop from 132 players the week before. The buy-in was $91 + $9, so the overlay was $536. The winner was steelmac6774, who got $2,000.
The "Big Sunday" $10,000 Guaranteed event on 888 happened on Feb. 02, with 44 players, identical to last week's 44 players. This means that, with a buy-in of $185 + $15, the overlay was $1,420. The tournament was won by kingroman, who got $3,200.
Though 888's population is growing, it appears PokerScout has no way of keeping track of player totals.
The PokerScout numbers for Ultimate Poker New Jersey show a 24 hour peak of 59 and a seven-day average of 14, which are up a bit from last week's 47 and 16.
Ultimate Poker runs a $20,000 Sundays guaranteed event. Last week there were 83 players, a big drop from 99 players the week before. The buy-in is $91 + $9, so the overlay was $12,447. This time, Ezzed won the event and took home $6,200. This event will likely have an overlay for some time.
Betfair Poker has not grown enough to have large guaranteed tournaments or to be listed on PokerScout.
