Plaza Casino Details

The Plaza in downtown Las Vegas previously runs a low-stakes poker room in a small area of its casino, near the craps pit. The Plaza utilizes five PokerPro electronic tables. For those not familiar with this concept, ProPoker tables are equipped with touch-screens for every player. Players can use these to buy chips, make betting actions, and do everything else that would require a dealer at a normal poker table..

The Plaza is noted for its micro-stakes action. No-limit hold’em games as low as $0.25-$0.50 ran for bankroll building grinders and recreational players. No-limit cash games as high as $2-$5 also ran regularly alongside limit hold’em and pot limit Omaha cash games. Tournament players were catered for with two daily no-limit hold’em tournaments with similarly low buy-in fees. The cash game rake is capped at a maximum of $3 in all games below $1-$2. Everything at and above this level is charged at a $2 rake rate.

The Plaza Poker Room is now located near the main entrance to the casino. Once you pass the lobby, you will see the craps pit and Omaha bar. The Poker Room is in this area. Some of the most popular promotions for players include $25 pay-outs for the highest hand of the half hour on selected days. Separate progressive royal flush jackpots also run for pot-limit Omaha and hold’em games. Although there are no comps that can be exchanged for meals, players can receive 20% off the cost of a hotel room if they clock up the agreed number of hours in the poker room during their stay.

Plaza closed its poker room on 3/18/16>
