Great room

I played the most at Excalibur (where I was staying), but HAD to try out Treasure Island due to the reviews on this site. I was very happy with the room. It is smaller then I expected, but they really do a lot with what they have to work with. The players card system, electronic board, pagers, and everything else was impressive for such a small room. I would have liked to see swivel/adjustable chairs, but this is a minor complaint. Vibe is great.

I played no limit, and the table was a little tougher then I had hoped for. I only bought in for $200, which may have been a factor. I played real tight, though, and did end up winning a little bit after playing about 4 hours. The competition was manageable, but not butter soft like it was at Excalibur, but I can understand why. Room is too nice for good players to avoid, and the game is pretty deep stacked, which is good for some (but bad for me).

All dealers were friendly and I only saw one misdeal during my 4 hours there.

Honestly, I only ordered a drink once, and it was a beer, so it would be kind of hard to screw that up. She brought it fast, and it was cold. Can't complain.

I was very impressed with the managers. There was an issue at my table where a player mucked his cards even though he could have checked, and the room manager, Danette, explained it fairly and everything was fine. Also, when I first entered the room I was warmly greeted by a young man named Jeff, who took it upon himself to make me an MGM players card for comps. Also, to go along with what others have said, the female employees/managers here are quite good looking, which seems to be uncommon in poker rooms in vegas.

Two dollars an hour for comps, plus high hand jackpots. Excalibur could learn a few things from here.
