This room continues to evolve and still has the best overall promotions in the area. The Friday and Saturday promotions can't be beat with instant pay high hands and additional payouts for the highest hand within the promotion time. Larger tournament series are becoming more common, which give the room an extra spark of energy and bring in new players as well. Their rake free tournaments are also some of the best value you'll find anywhere. I do wish they reported more tournament results since currently they only report the results of larger events in tournament series.
Staff and dealers are solid (with a few exceptions) and the games are run in a fair manner without much of a bias toward regulars. The room overall doesn't have a vibe or any character. You're playing in a remodeled grocery store and it feels like that. Tables and chairs are in good shape - but their chips have certainly seen better days and they need to change out their cards more often. This is especially true on the tables with automatic shufflers.
Bomb pots seem very detrimental to the game overall and have found their way into both the 1/3 deep and 2/5 games. The 2/5 game is suffering and there is rarely more than one table. Seems like there are only a small handful of players who like the bomb pots and everyone else would rather sit out. This may be a business decision where they should get player feedback and reevaluate.
It would serve them well to embrace technology and allow for wait list signup through the Poker Atlas app. This, a better mailing list, and more social media presence, can only help drive player engagement and loyalty.
