This is a top notch poker room on par with the best rooms in Vegas. It is more spacious than the Bellagio but not as big as the Venetian. The decor is nice but a little bit "bland" compared to the Wynn and Venetian. The lack of cup holders is an obvious omission but would not keep me out of the room. OVerall a very nice place to play if your on that end of the strip but I still prefer the Wynn and Venetian.
I only played about 2 hours. Everyone at my table was a tourist and seemed to have some poker experience.
I was really dissapointed with the dealers since I had heard good things about them. One woman was so bad that the player next to me mentioned it when neither one of us were in a hand. When I noticed her pushing a pot to a player with $20 bill in it, I asked her if cash played. She actually raised her voice to me (unforgivable from someone in a service profession) and chastised me for asking because she had already explained that to another player at the other end of the table.
The service and selection was very good.
I had no trouble getting to the table because the room was not very crowded. I had no other contact with the management.
I assume the comps are $1 per hour on the MGM players card. When I tried to use the comps I earned at another MGM property I was told I couldn't because "poker is different." MGM could take a cue from Harrah's here.
