Would play 1/3 here more if the max buy in was 200 bb (like it is for 2/5; $1000). Having the max for 1/3 only 100 bb essentially makes every new player lack the implied odds needed to enter draw hands and build a pot worth risking a stack for. Raise the max, make it $600 for 1/3.
