The room is beautiful, elegant, and cozy. The color palette of the room is perfect. Too little room between tables, however, makes it somewhat cramped.
The players were very tough. I suspect that much of this was due to the fact it was mid-week in the off-season.
A couple dealers really had a bad attitude. Most dealers were solid. A few were outstanding.
At times the drinks were aplenty. At other times a little slow. Cocktail waitresses were very nice.
Management was a mixed bag. First, the negative. Management here always seems to give off an attitude that they are doing you a favor by letting you play in their room, which is somewhat off-putting. Also, when a chip runner took $200 from a player at my table but never returned with chips, the manager gave the PLAYER a hard time about the incident because the player couldn't say for sure who the chip runner was. When management grilled him about why he couldn't identify the chip runner, the player said he was busy playing a hand and didn't turn around to memorize the guy's face. When management indicated they might not give the guy his $200 in chips, he said something to the effect of "Check the videotape or I will make certain a third party does." Only then did the manager give him his chips, saying he was doing so as a "courtesy." - Now the positive. Management was friendly when I checked out and comped me for the Bellagio breakfast buffet. Good chow makes up for a whole host of wrongs.
$2 per hour, which is fine by me!
