Foxwoods is bizarre. It's insanely big and insanely empty all the time. There are stores in it that I haven't seen open once in 30 years. I'm not saying I don't like the place but the vibe is unlike any other place I've been to. How can you run a wsop satellite tourney and have a Dunkies feet away from the poker room closed? You got a packed high stakes bingo room right next to it and it's closed (?). I don't get it. It's like this every time I'm in there. Massive giant hallways with nothing in them at every turn. It's like being in an abandoned airport in a ghost town.
Poker room is so 90's I can't even believe it. The seats are a step up from folding chairs that are meant for guys 5 foot 6 inches. The chips are as worn down as buffalo nickels. I've never seen poker chips so worn down that the actual color is fading away. Dull edges, maybe...actual color fading on top of that is absurd. This casino invests in nothing poker related. I swear these poker chips are 30 years old. So what... this won't stop you from going and I'm not trying to stop you- but if you go- tell me I'm wrong.
