New room. Nice decor. Tables seemed bigger than at other rooms on the Strip. I liked the feel I got from being there...friendly.
First day there the players were extremely easy. I quadrupled my buy-in in about a 6-hour session. The next time I played, the players were a bit tighter: more of the regular Vegas grinders. Fatigue and my poor play combined with the better opponents led to a losing session.
I was in the 10 seat and made a point to talk to every dealer. They all seemed calloused to the tourist players and weren't openly talkative. After a bit of chatter and some tips from the nice pots they pushed me, most opened up and were able to joke with me and smile. Don't recall any mistakes.
Day 1 it was faster than the last day, but the room was completely full on day 2. Waitresses were completely skipping our table on several occasions and other players were vocally annoyed. When she finally found us, I tipped her $5, told her I understood how busy she was and thanked her for her service. She came back to me every 5 minutes after that.
Quick to get you seated and chipped up. Friendly, for what little interaction I had with them. They didn't remember my name after the first session, but I didn't play there again for 2 days. I asked for a posting of the room rules and they pointed them out on the post, but insisted on knowing any specific questions I might have. I guess they don't get the "where's the room rules posted" question often.
Played about 6 hours the first day and got a $10 comp for a couple of the food places in the hotel.
