This poker room, Brantford and The Playground ( believe me you are paying heavily in rake for that " free food and drink " are the worst in North America and I have the experience to say so , having played in Cali , Vegas , Atlantic City, Florida, NE US rooms, Mississippi and all across Canada. Also Europe , NZ, Australia.
The value for players with a 20$ max rake, no comps or promotions, poor and expensive food and drink options make it in playable.
BBJPs with a quad K or A qualifier are ridiculous. No player needs to hit a multi hundred thousand or million dollar JP. Drop the qualifier and pay far more often to repay the regulars who build these huge JP s.
For the donks ( or casino shills ) that say the rake is irrelevant it shows their lack of comparison and analytics. Consider that most US rooms give $1 to $2 / hour comps , free soft drinks ( alcohol in Nevada ) great food options, High Hand , Splash pot , BBJPs with Aces full of K qualifiers, sports event draw tickets , great TVs , live entertainment etc.
Most important though is rake structure . The examples I cite above have a 10% max $ 5 rake and a further $ 1 - $ 2 promo drop.My info is as current as 1 week ago in Calif and Vegas, all of May in Florida and within the past 3 months for NE USA , Mississippi and NY state.
Save your money and time and just go to a US poker room. Turning Stone in Verona , NY is the closest for Toronto players.
