Very comfortable, with enough ambiance to keep it interesting. The nearby Centrifuge bar wakes you up with loud music every now and again. Plenty of room at the tables, though a little cramped when they squeeze in 11 during the tourneys.
Say it with me: "tight and aggressive." If you play that way, you'll likely be the only one. The aquarium doesn't have as many fish as the 3-6 limit game did! I ran across a local here and there, but it was predominantly very bad tourists. Expect a high variance due to the number of chronic callers that get lucky from time to time, but run up the pot with the best of it and you will profit handsomely.
A lot of mistakes. Flipped cards, button not moved, misread hands, you name it. Several dealers made more than one mistake in one 1/2-hour shift at the table. Personalities varied from surly and serious to happy and gregarious. I preferred the ones that dealt me good cards.
Had a couple orders forgotten, and went through a few longer stretches without service, but it wasn't terrible. The waitresses were generally not hideous, but not necessarily soberly attractive.
Great. The tournament was run smoothly, and the list management was effective, though a little slow sometimes. Floorpersons were very competent when involved (which was often, due to frequent dealer mistakes). Everybody was exceedingly nice and accommodating in general.
$1 an hour, and they rounded to the penny. We used the accumulated comps for the trip at the Studio Cafe the morning we left, and it was pretty good.
