The MGM certainly gets an "A" for high tech, and beautiful tables, but the room was kind of dissapointing. They built it right out in the middle of the casino and, although it's surrounded by high walls, the VERY loud music from the adjacent bar and sports book makes the room distracting. Many dealers are, understandably, just catching on, but the management was good.
The competition was average for the lower limit games. There were many tourists who didn't have a clue, but also some good players too.
I was there on the first day it was opened, so the dealers seemed a bit nervous and it showed. I think this will improve greatly as time goes on.
The cocktail waitresses wore very classy outfits, which gives this room a sense of high style. The service was fast and friendly.
For being a brand new room, the management here really has their act together. It doesn't hurt to have a high tech computer seating system which automatically shows what seats are available at every table.
I don't believe that they have any jackpots. The comps for play are below average for major LV poker rooms at $1 per hour, capped at $8/day.
