It is a bit open air to the casino, but I love this room. I have read a lot of complaints about the marble tracks on the table, though I never saw a problem with them after 15 hours of play. The monitors are nice. The tables, cards, chips are clean and nice. Dealers are good.
I mostly play NL games, but my buddy and I were on our designated "get drunk" night... so we played the 3-6 limit game. The entire table was drunk and would do shots together! It was just like a home game in college. It seemed like everyone was trying to show down the worst bad beats, throughout the night. Then I made the suggestion that we start a bad beat side pot. so we did. Anyway, they have serious tables as well. On another night I played the 2-5 nl game and managed to double up in an hour. So from my experience the game is soft and easy at MGM. Keep clear of the Horse table, if you don't want the drunk players.
On a couple of occasions I saw some bad plays by the dealer. At one point the winning hand only turned over his Ace and pushed both cards until they hit the muck pile. The dealer pulled the cards out and turned them up for the win. No complaints from the other player.
On another occasion the same situation happened on a 5-10 game and the loser complained and got the floor over. The floor man called in favor of the Ace-muck hand.
Personally I think that the call was bad. Especially if the guy only turned over a single card to begin with. As he pushed his cards to the muck, He got the other guy to show his cards. His cards touched the muck, then he pulled them out and flipped them both over for the win. Terrible Terrible call by the floor man.
Cocktails were always swift and plentiful. From redbull to top shelf drinks, to great capuccinos etc. All good.
See the terrible call above. Though organizing the seating and tables seemed good and my table change was always expedited swiftly.
