I played at the Mirage quite a bit the last decade both in the old and new rooms. Not much changed other then the size of the room. Friendly poker room with casual yet decent game. Poker patrons reflect the hotel. Older and upper class tourist with a few locals mixed in, Recreational players. No one's going to be crushed by losing a couple of $200 buy in. This keeps and cash games and tournaments casual and friendly. Very few if any millennials in head phones and hoodies.
Management is friendly and competent. Always remember my name even though I'm only there two or three times a year.
Dealers are older and most have been there for years. This has its pro and cons. They tend to be a little slower but professional.
Competition is solid. Most are experience poker players but the pros avoid the room at this point. Not enough fish and action. Games are sometimes slow and conservative but it loosens up in the evening and as I said most players aren't that concerned about the stakes so you can win some nice pots.
