this is a follow-up to my last post (two months ago):
dealer quality - getting worse
at a cash table today, player in the cutoff raised 5 big blinds
the button checked (at pbkc, a one big blind ante is required on the button)
when action limps around to the button, the button can check (just call the the limp)
this is common at pbkc when players limp
here what is not normal - the dealer doesn't know that he cutoff raised, a the dealer moves the action on to small blind and says ".5 big blind to call"
this is unacceptable
who is in charge of the dealers at pbkc?
-dealers not paying attention to the action
-dealers allow their friends to do their first buy-in at the table - all others must buy in at the cafe
(players who challenge this behavior are berated by the dealers)
-some dealers can't even calculate a min-raise
-today, at dealer told the table that he cannot ask for a reduced rake (four players) because of the "stack sizes"
-some dealers allow players to talk about the hand
during the hand - when players question the dealer as to why, they are ignored by the dealer or get an indifferent shrug of the shoulders
perhaps they should file the bumbling incompetent dealers or the person in charge of the dealers
it is a shame - i remember when pbkc was a great place to play poker
