Was on business in Portland and figured I'd check out the poker scene while I was here. I hit a couple rooms but I truly enjoyed Encore.
Lot of tables and staff was surprisingly professional. Sometimes when you go to poker rooms like this, you don't know what to expect but they did a great job. Tables and chairs were high quality and the room looked very good. Food is bar food as you'd expect but pretty good and the beer is flowing too! Service was prompt as well so not a lot of complaints.
There are a lot of regs and as you'd expect there is a mix of grumps along with the much more outgoing ones but it was a nice group of people overall. Some cool freeroll tourneys as well so it's pretty solid.
I was impressed to see a good poker scene in Portland and this is one place I'd definitely recommend!
