No "room" at all, located in a roped off area of the casino. The tables are in pretty good shape. No autoshufflers. I spent a week at the Riv because my wife had a conference there. Anytime but the early morning there was a 2-4 limit game and a 1-2 no limit game. They also had a tourney in the AM that had either one or two table participating.
Really terrible play. Lots of folks who have never played outside of penny poker in the kitchen. 4-9 offsuit is not an unlikely holding... Raising with any ace... etc. Some retirees who played reasonably well in a tight passive way.
Dealers were nice and relatively mistake free. They enforced the rules but did not antagonize the inexperienced players.
It is a small room in a relatively dead casino, so the cocktail waitresses were not very busy elsewhere. Drinks came as fast as you want 'em. I lower to a 4 because I suspect fancy brands are not available, but I am not much of a drinker-so I don't know.
Dealt with issues quickly and decisively. The night floor person even remembered my name by the third night. Wow!
$1 and hour. After 10 hours you get a buffet certificate if you ask for it. If you bank 30 hours you can get a $30 certificate for the coffee shop.
