First off if you play full time you're paying 13$ an hour which amounts to 2,000$ a month right off the bat and they won't let you pay from chips off your stack. So if you run bad your essentially losing a lot more money by paying time separately. This makes it nearly impossible to beat the game if you're playing small stakes.
Second, the place is infested with Euro grinders, they are the most unpleasant people I have ever met. Unfriendly, smug, tight, bad for the game, etc, you name it.
Third, of course this is being biased but I have never ran worse anywhere in my life than here. It's almost as if these dealers know how to professionally set up a deck. Some of them for sure know how to.
Four, this place is like a house game type of atmosphere. The locals get treated so much better than everyone else.
Five, this poker room is obnoxiously loud. Every sound bounces off the walls.
When you play poker you want a somewhat pleasant quietish room. The spot in Dallas is a lot more quiet, not infested with euros, a more locally type friendly environment.
The worst part about these Dallas rooms though is the fact that you're forced to pay for time not with chips in play. Again, it just adds up to way too much money if you go on a downswing. You're getting murdered by time. You basically have to win two pots every hour to break even from time as opposed to rake. It's extremely difficult to win two pots an hour. At least with rake you can sit like a bit and wait for spots and if you lose the hand you lose the hand. It's unbearable losing then someone telling you you're out of time and need to hand over another 100$ for 8-9 hours of play.
Really just the least enjoyable poker room ever. Games are infested with pros and euros, having to pay time. So many Indians too. Nice people, good for game but my goodness, I feel like a minority. Hate this place
