TB used to be my favorite place around previously. I've been away for a while and this time I came back, only to find out that the 1/3 buy-in limit had been changed.
I fully understand the intention to protect the players. However, these limitations also kill the action somehow. The Barrel used to be famous for its aggressive preflop actions and range game. But I feel so upset tonight that I couldn't even find a proper 3bet/4bet size under this depth. Played 5 hours tonight and I have only seen the 3bet preflop three times, all made by myself…. Again, I fully appreciate for considering the protection. But why not just separate it into 1/2 and 1/3 match tables?
Had a pretty negative experience tonight, really miss the old-day actions. Not sure whether I would be back.

Hey Kevin,
I'm sorry we disappointed you - we ran an experiment with our 1/3 buy in, but it was only a temporary change. After lots of member feedback, we've settled on the following buy-ins for NLH:1/2 100 - 300
1/3 200 - 500
2/5 300 - 1,000
5/10 500 - 3,000We hope this restores the action that you're used to while providing the option for a smaller game for newer players. If you give us another try, we'd love to hear about your experience, either in person or by email ([email protected]).
