I had never been here before. I never ever get a Friday off work and found myself with a Friday off and wanted to try it out. I put my name on the list at 9:30 am for a 1 pm game. The app says you have 2 hours to show up. The place doesn't open till 1. At 11:33 I put my name on the list again. I arrive at 12:53 and only 3 other people from the list are here. I ask for chips and buy a day membership and 5 hours of time to play big O They give me chips but tell me I don't have a seat because there are others on the list ahead of me even tho they weren't here yet. At 1 when the place is officially open, they still didn't give me my seat because all these older people were technically on the list ahead of me, Even though they weren't here yet. The game did not get going till 1:30 because they held the game up until the regulars got here. I can't get a refund even though I came up here for one specific game that they are refusing to open a second table for.

You're right about the system giving you two hours to arrive and that we open at 1, so joining any time before 11am would just have you fall off the list. However, our scheduled games such as 10/20 Big O will auto-arrive you and your name will not fall off the list. For example, we have 13 on the list for this coming Friday.
For scheduled games, we do honor the list order for the first 10 minutes. It sounds like 9 people on the list ahead of you arrived within the 10 minutes, and although it did take them longer to get settled into the game we honor their arrival time to the best of our ability.
We did not have enough interested players on site to open a second 10/20 O8 game.
If you're willing to give us another try, I would be happy to get you on the list for a future date, since the 10/20 BigO list persists throughout the week.
