This room is problem the nicest (appearance and cleanliness wise) I've seen in NH! Very nice and clean bathrooms too! Also the food was much better than any other NH rooms I've been too! The games themselves were decent but one issue I observed was there were almost three fights (involving all different people) at my table in the 6 hours or so I was there. It was somewhat uncomfortable. I don't know if this is the norm, but I did see this mentioned in a previous review too. Some minor complaints. The minimum high hand of Jacks full and no roll over of the prize if not hit. I often go to Gate City when it's not busy and you can actually win a high hand with a low full house like 44433 etc. I love that. If not at least rolling over and combining to a bigger prize adds excitement. Also the Poker Atlas waiting list max time is 60 minutes, instead of the 90 most others do. I'm coming from Boston to avoid Encore's ridiculous rake and because I got stuck in traffic from an accident I didn't make it in 60 minutes and had to rejoin the list late. This alone will cause me to go to Gate City most of the time, although I do think the Brook is a place I'd like to continue to play at often. Lastly, no comps. Something simple like using a players card you can earn even a dollar an hour on adds up. It's nice to get a comped meal here and there if you play a lot of hours somewhere, but they don't have that presently. Overall it's a very good room that is not far off from being great. I'll be back.
