The room was decent, but with Poker booming the way it is, there is no excuse not to fix up the room. It had all the basics: tables and chairs.
Maybe it was due to being Superbowl weekend, but the $1-$2 and $3-$6 were very loose. I managed to get in on a couple $100 NL games that the manager decided to spread, and those were also very loose.
The dealers were efficient, but not much for personality. One of them even complained about how much they get paid and that the only way they make any money is with tips. Almost guilting you into tipping....granted, if I win a pot, I always tip, but there was no reason for this particular dealer to vent her frustration regarding her line of work.
The poker room at the IP is about 30 yards from the Sportsbook bar. I always had a fresh drink (love those Vodka Grapefruits in the morning!)
The manager was very good in this room. He was always available and would often stop over to our tables to let us know when he was planning to spread a different game. He also recognized if you had played there before.
Not knowing what is considered good, I got $3/hour in comps on my IP Players Card (I ended up using all my comp dollars to pay for most of my room). The coffee was always fresh, the cookies were good, drinks free, etc. One player got a royal flush and earned $100 to a restaurant.
