The poker room is huge and well located in the Venetian. They have 4 huge leather chairs to park your body waiting for a game ot start. State of the art computerized game management which management is willing to explain, which was a real bonus. Screens for sports everywhere and the tournament stats (time till next blind increase, etc) migrates from screen to screen around the room so you can always see the number of people in the room. Seats adjustable and comfortable.
I actually like dealers that sit in games, and they got dealers on break to make up an Omaha HiLo $4/$8 at the request of some players. Venetian guests have generally a lot of money and I met some fun people out to play poker loosely for fun. The dealers were damned good, but you expect that and respect it.
The dealers have a friendly vibe and joke around a little. Nice change. When they switch seats, there is friendly banter which puts everyone at ease. Very competent card dealing with only one flipped card in over 50 hours of play.
You can order food to your table, it is reasonably priced, and you get value. Outstanding service.
This poker room's management desk is staffed with friendly people that understand that everyone has questions and it is their job to answer them. I asked how does the comp system work and got a smile, a full explanation, a name card in (I kid you not) 30 seconds. They want people to stay, they want them to come back, and they know is is a constant effort all the time. It was because of this that I decided to play in their bigger tournament and spent the balance of my poker vacation there.
The $2,000 high hand jackpots were all given out except for the spade royal flush, so everyone was playing the top spades in the room ha ha. Active promotion.
