My take is calling it a poker room is a stretch, regardless I'm not convinced that poker is big on Encore's list of concerns -- since reopening following Covid Boston's lone poker room has removed fifty tables and replaced them with slot machines, increased the rake to an industry leading $10, AND implemented a "let's charge ONLY the poker players for drinks" policy which wasn't exactly received too well. I find their live poker to be a mere shell of its former glory and is now surrounded by slot machines. Maybe they have to offer live poker to maintain a 5-star casino rating so they offer the minimum these days and it shows. Boston is a great poker town too so it's a bummer
