10% rake up to $10 is 2X the industry standard. This astronomically high rake is simply unbeatable. I guess Wynn doesn't realize that the extra money they are making by gouging the poker players is all lost from deterring people to visit. I use to go to encore 2-3 times a week to play poker, have dinner and half the time ultimately wander into the blackjack pits on my way out. Ive lost about 15k playing blackjack at encore Boston but now that they've decided to gouge the poker players I won't even step foot in another Wynn establishment anywhere in the world.
