The room still looks the same. They have taken 1 of the t.v.s down to add an office for the new manager. The atmosphere has improved due to the highs jackpots and hourly comps that have been added recently. Its always been a somewhat festive atmosphere since the room is @#$% near on the strip! And it's not really a room but a partitioned off area. Cant avoid the noise of the casino although it is somewhat lower since the room is in the corner of the casino!
The players were a mixture. Some stop by the room on their way through the casino from O'sheas going to the Bills gambling hall( formerly the Babary Coast)and vice versus since it is a shorter walking distance inside as opposed to outside. Locals are now somewhat more attracted to the room, IMO, because of the high hands coupled with the penchant for the tourists playing there are usually drunk ( or getting drunk)!
Did not see any mistakes for the dealers and most were somehwhat personable!
I don't drink alcohol however my diet cokes and orange juice were always served in a large class and those who were getting their drink on around me never complained about the drinks.
The service has got to be some of the fastest on the strip since the bar is actually located at the end of the poker room. I mean you can see you waitress making your drink! The waitresses who served the poker room were usually the older 1's which afforded them the opportunity of walking a very short distance and collecting very many tips!!
New and improved attitude amongest the floor staff although the deaters who are on break are as likely to manage the desk as is a floor person. I have heard that the new Poker Room manager is an A--hole ( this came from the dealers) who is cracking the whip (so to speak).
High hands, Tuesday morning double high hand ...a dollar an hour ...the Flamingo has come a long way in the past 6 months!!
