Great action and competition. Limp calling $30 in a $1/2 is the norm. Calling with horrible hands and hitting a pair and never folding - excellent to be around that action. Dealers are a hit or miss. They should've gotten rid of most of the Rounders dealers cause a good bunch of the ones that stuck around (not all) are lackadaisical at best. Pushing the pot to the wrong player, not figuring out if a kicker plays, not clocking out players who have left the game and explicitly said they were leaving, allowing players to use foreign language at the table, allowing players to be on a phone call at the table and even in a hand. Also, the same bunch of dealers have zero manners when it comes to tips and/or say nothing if you tip them below what they thought they should have received. So somehow, because a player won a big pot that the dealer deserves more than the standard $1 - $2 tip? So they just take it and look annoyed. Then when some sucker shoots them $10 cause they won a $80 pot, the dealer snaps out of it and is appreciative. Is this all the dealers? No. But there's too many of them that taint this place and make it a bit trashy feeling. I realize this is south Texas and the general aptitude for decorum, customer service and common sense is a far reach compared to other parts of the country but come on.
The soft player pool keeps me coming back. Even if I have to make sure I'm getting paid on a pot I clearly won.
To add to the trashy vibe they have a bathroom attendant that stands in the bathroom while you're @#$% and is there to give you a paper towel - tips expected of course. It's trashy and cringe to say the least. I don't need another dude watching me take a @#$% only to expect a tip when he hands me a paper towel.
