Played in 8 different Vegas poker rooms this week before Christmas during WPT championships. Many with 4 to 8 hrs sessions at multiple tables. Went to Nugget, Caesars, Wynn, Aria, Bellagio, Horseshoe, Venetian, and by far MGM Grand was the least inviting/friendly game we were at. First question my buddy and I were asked when we sat down was whether we lived in Clark County (Vegas) and were then told everyone else there was a local. They didn’t even ask where we were actually from. Thanks for making us feel weird from the start! They were running a total hourly play based freeroll monthly tourney so everyone was just grinding hrs for the promo. Locals got @#$% when we built pots or stacked anyone, rolled eyes/bickering under their breath on every pot. I got berated (by player who was a dealer from a different casino the night before no less) for stacking a local regular, just a rude environment. Only put a 1 hr session in there - was midday so maybe better at night but tourists stay away during day. You have been warned! Much better poker rooms out there.
