Low-budget and no atmosphere

I've played at MGM Grand on and off for years - but only when there isn't a suitable tournament running elsewhere. Not much has changed in all that time: the 'poker room' isn't a custom-designed room; it's just a chunk of the vast casino floor that they've roped off and dumped a bunch of tables in ... so it's dark and gloomy, with the terrible lighting meaning it's hard to see the cards across the table. Also, the chairs are low-budget and uncomfortable after an hour or two, and the cocktail service is slow or non-existent. Dealers and management do their best under difficult conditions (which is why I still play there sometimes) ... but it's a shame they don't redesign the whole room and create something to rival Wynn or Resorts World.
