Great room in many ways

The South Point gets dumped on by some for being a "locals room," but there is plenty of good action except for the lowest limit Hold'em stakes. The room is huge, with plenty of space between tables, good management and well staffed. The chip runners and cocktail waitresses are fast and reliable, and management does a good job of picking up a player's chips if there is a list and the player has been missing for over an hour. The room is well lit and is separated enough from the main casino to be smoke free and quiet enough to concentrate, but not so quiet that you can hear the guy across the table grumbling to himself about a bad beat he took a few hours before.
