The room isn't really a room in itself. It's more like a little enclosed area off the casino floor. The only highlight of the room is that it's right near the entrance from the garage. Other than that it's pretty small I think 5 or 6 tables and below average certainly. Also, I would like to mention that the parking situation at the Stratosphere is ridiculously bad. The garage is very small, very cramped, and it often takes a while to find a spot. The valet also told me that I couldn't valet because I wasn't staying in the hotel. Needless to say I won't be back.
The competition here is bad. The players in the NL game were very easy to read and made bad calls and rarely raised preflop. The downside to this is that you get no action with your strong hands. The 8pm tourney was the same, very low level comepetition but the rapidly escalating blinds make it all luck towards the very end. From Level 4 to 5 it goes from 75/150 to 150/300 and from that point on it's an all-in fest basically.
On a side note I hated the structure of the 8PM tournament. It's a $44 buy-in with a $40 re-buy and a $40 add on. The rebuy and the add-on are basically the same thing so they're really trying to suck $120 out of you for a low level tourney. Also, it was 2 tables and only paid the top 2 so luck is very much involved towards the end when the blinds are sky high.
Dealers were below average. No personally, but worse, didn't really know what they were doing all the time. I only played for 2-3 hours and saw many mistakes including not giving change on over chips, dealing cards when a player was waiting to act, pushing the pot when the hand wasn't over, misreading hands, etc.
Cocktail waitresses weren't really attractive but who cares? I didn't really drink but they seemed to be quick and they actually stop and asked you if you wanted a drink instead of just walking through and yelling "cocktails". I can't speak for the quality of drinks however. No drink holders on the tables either.
Management was probably a little below average. The guy running the tournament was pretty on top of things however. He just had to keep correcting his dealers for mistakes they were making. They also have chip runners, you can't just buy more chips from the dealer.
Also, one major complaint that I have is apparently there was a problem with one of the players at another table. The management came over to ME and tried to subtly correct the problem even though I wasn't the player causing the problem. I had no clue what he was talking about but later found out it was the player in my seat at the next table and I was a little offended since they couldn't even contact the right person.
None that I am aware of.
