The room was nothing special, and in fact it's more of an island than a room. The nicest aspect of the place was that it's new. The progressive high hand jackpots are posted, and there's a big plasma in the center for tourney information.
Some smart players at the cash tables, but complete fish at the 9 a.m. tourney. Rebuy after rebuy, all you had to do was wait until they got tired of rebuying. I must say that there is an awful energy in this room, because I could do nothing but lose money or break even...no matter which cards I caught. I'll spare you the bad beat stories.
Aside from the one decent dealer (I believe his name was Paul) the dealers wouldn't speak at all. At the 9 a.m. tourney I played, a dealer completely botched an ALL IN hand by assuming the betting was finished and turning the entire board. Oops.
I think I recieved one drink the entire time I played (which totaled no more than 3 hours over two days)
Can't complain about the management. One manager would sit down at slow tables and play very loose. He was a pleasant guy to talk with and gave money away.
Comps? There was a computer at the entrance, but nothing free.
