On Tuesday June 10th I was going to play the 400(405pm) Bankroll builder for 125.00. Listed on Poker Atlas and on tournament schedule. Since I'm in Vegas every summer I know tournaments can get cancelled , so I called the room at 206 pm and asked if the tournament was still going to take place. I was told that it was and that nothing had been called off. Jumped in Ride share 10 minutes later and headed over. Went to register since you can register 2 hours in advance??? So when I called registration had already begun. Now it's around 3. Went to register and was told it was just cancelled. They said they had too many re-entries for the 300 plus one they were running. "This never happens...sorry... you can play in that or at 600pm (maybe 7pm) in a 200.00" I was told. So I'm supposed to just sit there and wait several hours or pay 3 times what I came there to spend? I said well can you do something for me since I'm paying for ride share trips for nothing (26.00 for absolutely nothing round trip) and I was just told it was still going. I know, I know, get real !! Person at registration booth didn't seem to care and saying "Sorry" is a free comp they can give out all day long. What really was lousy is when I called the number listed on Poker Atlas you get the "Cash" room sign up desk. I actually asked to be transferred to the tournament desk,but was told it was going no need. Maybe 2 seconds of work saves me from wasting my time and a few bucks. So beware and maybe if you have to go out of your way, or don't have free transportation find somewhere else to go. And just for the record they have great tournaments there, that's why I went in the first place. Not a given I will again, but I probably will.
